Taking Fun to New Heights

I love days like we had Saturday. 72 degrees, nice breeze, lots of people out, lots of energy . . . it's a good time in NYC.

We have been wanting to see "In the Heights" for awhile now. We weren't crazy about dropping the mad cash for the tickets . . . so, we did what every other person in NYC does . . . we stood in line at the TKTS booth. Long story short, tickets were still not cheap, even at 30% off, so we went to the theater to put our names in the lottery, didn't get picked, so we got the "final sale" price of the tickets. Half off baby.

This was probably one of my favorite shows. I LOVED it. Read about the story here. It was moving. And Jed got to go back to his roots (he used to live in Washington Heights).

Next on our "do whatever the freak we feel like today" list was picture taking (of course)--mostly by yours truly, banana pudding from Magnolia for my husb . . .

"Falun Gong" parading . . .

wandering in and out of shops, and ending the day where every human being should end their day . . . Dylan's candy bar.

Here's to many more summer days like this . . . especially the 72 degrees part.

I'm jealous. Sounds like a fun time. I wish Matt and I could have days of doing whatever we feel like. We need a "just Matt and Kim" vacation again. Enjoy your time together before little "Jeathers" come along. Hey, is that popcorn in boxes or candy? Looks yummy whatever it is.

I'm SUPER glad you got to go to In the Heights. I didn't know that Jedders lived in WH!!! CRAZY-ness. . . .

Looks like you're having a great summer and enjoying summer in the city! And all the food in Maine looked amazing. Love seeing what you've been up to!
