Just a quick update to fill you in on our lives (Wow, this introduction makes it sound like we have SUPER exciting lives!)
For those of you who don't know...I am officially a working girl. I landed myself a sweet little job at an advertising firm. I work in the Benefits Department and so far I am really liking it a lot (it's only week one :) I am so thankful to be contributing to society again.
(DISCLAIMER: IF YOU ARE SICK OF HEARING ME MOAN AND GROAN ABOUT THE WEATHER PLEASE SKIP THIS PORTION OF THE BLOG POST)
I think most NYers are feeling our pain of thinking "WILL IT EVER BE WARM AGAIN"!?!? (Mark my words...2 months from now I am going to be complaining just as much at the humid/hot/muggy/nasty weather that is New York summer. (Can I ever just be happy???)
I am very much looking forward to the short (unfortunate) season of Spring where hoards of people come out to walk in the park and you put away your coats and scarves. It's my favorite time in New York.
Last, but not least, my husb was able to take some sweet pics of the New York sky line in Long Island City. LIC (as we New Yorkers lovingly call it, as we abbreviate every neighborhood) is the city directly across the East River from Midtown (Manhattan)
I froze my tush off while Jed snapped away, but once I saw them, the icy conditions were worth it. Don't you agree?
I'm telling you...people (tourists mostly) would totally buy these, right? I am so proud of Jedders and the amazing little photog he is becoming.
How cute? There is a store called Licorice. At least I think it was a store; all the windows were covered up and I didn't see a door...hmmm, maybe it wasn't a store at all?

Great pics, Jed! And that last one with the cutie girl in it is really well done! Heath-you are the girl who NEEDS a store called Licorice! The name of the store may be deceiving, however! Loveyoumissyou!
I agree Jed is honing some nice photo skeelz. I should take lessons. And no, New Yorkers can never be happy with the weather or the tourists. Its our plight in light and by damned we WILL complain. thats our way ; )

That licorice store, isn't it so cute? it's been deserted for years.....
Wow! Love the pics!! Jed seriously needs to set up shop next to the Nigerian selling "Prada wallets" and sell them to tourists!! Love you!
Really great pics Jed. I also can't wait for Spring.
I really like the glowing first picture....very nice!!! I could never live on the East Coast...too COLD!
Jed, stunning pics. I really think that you need to try to get these in production! They are great. Heathie, so happy that you're happy with your new job. Love you both!
